Custom 316L stainless steel anode modules for wet electrostatic precipitators. Honeycomb hexagonal tube bundles with molybdenum-enhanced corrosion resistance for PM2.5, acid mist, tar mist, SO₃ mist and aerosol removal.
316L Stainless Steel Anode Module
Our 316L stainless steel anode module is a modular collecting electrode assembly for wet electrostatic precipitators and electric tar precipitators. It is formed by multiple hexagonal 316L stainless steel anode tubes, supporting frames, stiffening plates and flange connections, and is widely used in power plants, steel mills, chemical plants, coking plants, carbon plants, ceramic kilns, biomass boilers, waste incineration and other systems where flue gas contains moisture, chloride ions, acid mist, tar mist, oil mist or condensable aerosols.
316L stainless steel contains molybdenum, which provides better resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion than 304 stainless steel. This makes the anode module especially suitable for WESP systems installed downstream of wet desulfurization, scrubbers or absorption towers, where saturated flue gas often carries chloride salts, acid mist and sticky submicron particles.
Molybdenum-enhanced chloride resistance: 316L resists pitting and crevice corrosion better than 304 in wet flue gas containing chloride ions and acid mist.
Proven performance after wet desulfurization: widely applied in terminal polishing of desulfurized flue gas, acid gas treatment and tar mist removal systems.
Stable electrical conductivity: stainless steel provides reliable conductivity without coating degradation, supporting uniform corona discharge and long-term operation.
Smooth inner surface: polished tube walls help form a continuous water film, improving flushing efficiency and reducing tar, salt or dust buildup.
Modular assembly: multiple hexagonal tubes are assembled into a complete anode module with flange connection and stiffening plates, facilitating installation, maintenance and replacement.
Honeycomb hexagonal tube bundle: multiple hexagonal 316L tubes are arranged into a compact module, providing high space utilization and uniform electric field distribution.
Grounded collecting electrode: the anode module is connected to ground and serves as the precipitation surface for charged particles and mist droplets.
Cooperation with discharge electrode: a central discharge electrode generates corona discharge, charging PM2.5, acid mist, tar mist, oil mist and aerosols.
Wet flushing cleaning: circulating water or process liquid washes captured pollutants from the inner tube wall into the drain, preventing fouling and maintaining stable operation.

Wuxi Xinchangyuan Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. manufactures stainless steel WESP modules and anode tube bundles for industrial flue gas treatment. Our capabilities include laser cutting, CNC forming, plate rolling, automatic welding, module assembly and on-site installation support. 316L stainless steel anode modules, supporting frames, discharge electrode systems and flushing systems can be customized according to project flue gas composition, corrosion level, air volume and site conditions.
What is the difference between an anode tube and an anode module?
An anode tube refers to a single hexagonal collecting tube, while an anode module is a complete assembly of multiple tubes, frames, stiffening plates and flange connections ready for installation.
Why is 316L preferred over 304 for WESP anode modules?
Because 316L contains molybdenum, which provides better resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion in wet flue gas environments.
When should 2205 duplex stainless steel be chosen instead?
2205 is recommended for high-chloride, high-humidity or severe corrosion conditions where higher PREN value and stress corrosion cracking resistance are required.
Can the anode module be customized?
Yes. Tube diameter, length, wall thickness, module quantity, material grade and connection structure can be customized according to actual process conditions.
